No couriers yet? Perhaps I can entice one with a few explanations and offers.
(1) Who am I? I have been in the inactive reserve since 2002, just returning to active service this week. So, I'm a bit rusty and you will have an easy time at it. I got my Lt rank in late 1999. I did at one time run the AdR Ecole de Mars; my old website is still active (surprisingly after many years of inactivity) http://www.geocities.com/nwc_ecole/ See "Archive" for some interesting tactics articles.
(2) Why Marengo from NiR (Talonsoft)? Having just returned to gaming, I'm still learning the HPS system and not sure I like it better than Talonsoft's engine. Also, Marengo appears to be a balanced and interesting scenario; I've played the first few hours for both sides and like it. It was just released by NiR Project a week ago. It has relatively few units, has good amount of terrain, and is an interesting tactical challenge. The Austrians have just forged a bridgehead and are about to challenge the French, who were surprised. Basically the French are in delay (defensive) mode for about 30 of the 56 turns, so for the Austrian to play has to punch hard and fast early and then hunker down and hold what he has.
(3) How do you install it? If you are a junior officer and not sure about this, rest assured that it is easy. All you need is the Talonsoft NIR disk and I'll help you get all in place. Once you do one of these "Add-Ons" the others are nearly identical and it opens up a HUGE resource of free games to you.
(4) The "Austrian" in the title should (please) not be taken literally; any Allied Officer is welcome. For that matter, if a honorable French officer would like to play this game as a manuever (i.e., worth half points), please let me know.
(5) Finally, I play for fun and am willing to negogiate terms if you state your case clearly.
Cheerio!
