Bonjour Mis Ami, I am issuing challenge of battle to an experienced Allied officer to engage in modified full campaign scenario. My source for changes was John Huessy's 1500 page 2 volume study of the 1815 campaign. This scenario has been play tested to 100 turns and delivers a much more historically accurate portrayal of the Waterloo campaign. The major changes are as follows : THE PRUSSIANS; The Prussian 2nd and 3rd Corps do not enter the map until the morning of the 16th as historically recorded. The Prussian 1st Corp is redeployed to historical locations. The French: the major changes are that the French 4th Corp does not reach Chatelet until nightfall on the 15th. The Second Corp is delayed entering the map until noon on the 15th. The First Corp does not start entering until 4PM on the 15th and is strung out. The British: The British reaction is much delayed due to the fact that Wellington did not issue his first orders until 5PM on the 15th. The some British fixed units on the map are not released until after 6PM on the 15th with others not released until early on the 16th. The another major change is that the British Cavalry Reserve does not enter the map until 8 am on the 16th north of Enghien. Lastly, The Brits do get Prince Fredrick's Netherlands Corp on the afternoon of the 16th. The changes I made are as accurate as I could find. The stock scenario with it's especially missed placed Prussians made it almost impossible for the French to achieve the separation of the Allied forces that Napoleon desired. The French still have to make try and defeat a much numerically superior Allied forces. One point- How could the designers of the stock scenario rate Napoleon, the greatest soldier since Alexander as a B quality in Leadership and Command. ![]() If you are interested in playing or would just like a copy my altered scenario, just send a courier to my HQ. Repectfully |
