​To defeat the French once is a duty; to defeat them fifty times is a Legende (legend).

​You have not merely won battles; you have dismantled entire armies. Fifty times the Tricolor has been lowered before your sword. Such a record speaks of a tactical Meister (master) who understands the art of war better than the Korsikaner himself.

​It is fitting that you wear the Order of Henry the Lion. Like that great German prince of old, you have shown the strength and ferocity of a Löwe (lion) in defense of the Coalition. To the French, your name must be furchtbar (fearsome) indeed.
