Gents,

Yes many of the early napoleonic battles are a beauty.
So I can only say come on HPS way to go, but I know
that I only shout in the woods.

I myself have began looking for other sources for these
scenarios and battles who HPS never make.

Ola,
At this point, I wouldn't make any bets as to what HPS will and will not make. Especially when you look at the other engines, it's pretty clear that they are committed to making a number of the less famous battles as well.

Ok, fine, I wouldn't put any money on a scenario where Nappie gives the Paris Mob a whiff of grapeshot... but short of that?

Patience is a virtue.

Thanks for the links Mike. What used to be termed a topo map is not the same as what we have now as in the old days a topo map had nothing to do with exact contours. I note that these maps will come in handy for exact placenames but that elevationas are going to be found on more modern maps. Just the same these were a real find to say the least. I have looked over their board game on Marengo via the website and it looks like a novel approach to a game.

Gary,

to compare the napoleonic games with PZC. is not fair. I do not
find any PZC battle who is not quite famous but that is me. PZC is
also HPS most important series.
I only say that it is very sorry that the napolonics is coming way
down on the list. And I will continue to dream of:
The Jena Campaign
The Eylau Campaign
The Austerlitz Campaign
The Friedland Campaign
All the early battles between France and Austria
in Italy.
All the battles in Spain.

And what will HPS give me next I bet for Campaign 1813, is it high
on my list not at all, will I buy it and play it... Of Course.

But maybe HPS is coming with another campaign and that will make
Me glad[:D]

Glad you found them useful. Yes, the topo stuff is not up to snuff, but could be useful for someone mapping the terrain (where the forests are, where the hamlets are, etc etc. I posted it more for browsing and general interest. (But if it piques your or Charlies interest and we get a game out of it - so much the better!)

Er, my interest in Italy has been piqued enough to ask for at least one title for this area of campaigning.

I hope you guys like Italy ....

Its something that I would definitely like to do. Nothing definte as of yet but its on my list of games I want to do.

Rich has said that he would like to do the Peninsular War games and so I believe that you guys can expect alot of good titles to come in the next two years.

Just a note: I downloaded all of these maps but the Castiglione map could not be saved as a smaller size. The booger is 25 MB in size!

I could not open up the Arcola map at all. Its 65 MB!

The answer: I need more RAM!!! I must have more RAM!

Thus the order went out for a 1 GB module.

Sheesh, 84 dollars with S&H included. The price of RAM these days is truly incredible.
