Or the 2 infantrymen in a company level Waterloo who stopped a cavalry charge by putting themselves in a square. Those of course are not so much gamey as limitations on the engine. Really.

in the american civil war drill manual there is a command "skirmishers repel cavalry" but it takes 4 guys. i remember practicing this for an hour or so on a cold windy day at antietam. the 4 skirmishers stand back to back with their bayonets up and pointing out. we were very hung over at the time and wondering when we would ever use this useless command.

The pointless drilling for hours in the really warm summer......I wasn't made for the infantry.... :frenchlol: Should of joined an artillery group and just rolled the guns on the field and off for the battle....now I am looking to divest of my uniform and maybe some accouterments too. Going to see if I can sell it or donate it to a Sutler....I'm sort of close to Gettysburg, so someone might take it... :frenchcool

I always remember a wargame where I threw 16 dice for a hit against an opponent and threw nothing over a 1 or a 2 (needing a single 3 to simply take him out). My opponent reckoned that he'd found a hide behind a particularly solid blade of grass! :frenchoops:

Solid stuff!
