Sir Muddy walks into the Tavern (followed shortly by his horse) with a sour look on his face. "I've have just seen the matches for the Guards Challenge and it appears that participation on both sides is far below expectations, but the turnout for the French Guards is embarrassing -- maybe six French Guard officers answered the call. Now, some must play two matches to uphold the Emperor's honor. The war must be close to finished. The Emperor can no longer muster his Marechals. They ignore his call. What is even MORE embarrassing is that I was asked to participate!!! [:D][:p] Now you KNOW they have to be scratching the bottom of the barrel to ask me to play! [:D][:D][:D] I guess our Guard is doing the usual thing - letting the newbies get into the battle. I mean we wouldn't want them to soil their uniforms right? [;)] GRUMBLE GRUMBLE GRUMBLE!
