Colonel Jones,
I have the pleasure to report that after a rather wet night, the men of the Verden brigade are standing ready. The have been issued their ration of spirits and have been formed where ordered. I must report that it could be a problem if we are to relocate our position in a quick manner because of the amount of mud under our feet. Rest assured we will do our duty. Now if the French would oblige us and get the ball rolling! Your servant, |

Ensign Clawson, The very mud under your feet may prove a salvation. I see the enemy's artillery struggling through it to unlimber on the distant crest. It looks as though they plan to give us a cowardly pounding from a distance before sending their infantry forward to the attack. As much as I hate to soil your beautiful uniform, you may be required to withdraw your men a bit and lie down in this mud to spare them from the inpending barrage. Oh, what a surprise we will give them when they do finally come forward and crest this hill! |

Colonel,
We are doing our best. The sound of the guns is deafening. One of my Sargents by the name of Huey Lewis brought me news of recent orders. I could only hear something he was muttering about being hip to be square. He also provided some rough sketches of the battle......... We will battle on. Silly Frenchmen, I don't even know why they bother. It looks like our boys have things well enough in hand at the moment, even without the Prussians. They will be along directly I am sure. After all, they did promise. Oh, man that takes me back! Now you are speaking the language that I love!! I did that very thing for so many good years with HMGS. There is a lifetime of work in those photos. Those have to be 25mm figs due to the detail and so many various poses. Beautiful for photos and detail, but they take up so much room if you run any size battle at all. You need a warehouse to play and tables with removable access panels. Thier terrain treatment is excellent as well. No details spared here. Thanks, Scott!!! |

Yes, definitely better late than never. Absolutely incredible! Those are probably 54mm figs. If they are 25mm, the paint job is unbelieveable. Thanks, Scott!!! |

Hey, looks who's coming to dinner! ![]() Planceoit pudding! My favorite! ![]() That bayonet pointing out of one of those buildings was being levered by an old hag from the French camp followers. Things were pretty desperate in France in 1815 and they were taking "volunteers." ![]() |

Hehehehe................a good one, Bill! ![]() Well, at least the French still had some "elite volunteers" for their decrepit Old Guard! ![]() I second the thoughts of The Rat. Thanks again to all of you good Prussians for the Promise Kept. It had been a long day and we were getting pretty tired of holding the Blue Horde at bay. ![]() |
