So as my French Legions continue to trench through the woods, I am exactly halfway through my game against Prussian Zach Bogue and we have yet to meet. 24 of 48 turns completed. No Contact yet. Anyone else in the same boat? Any thoughts? ![]() |

In my game I had to run down Cliff to get a battle going by turn 20. Looks like the French are afraid to fight us. Whine and complain about the battle but won't bring out their superior cavalry to do battle with us. I think it had something to do with the fact that their golden outhouse was destroyed recently. ![]() |

I cannot say that I had the same problem with GdB Guegan. We both advanced straight away and our engagement was over in 21 Turns and 12 days of playing time. |

Yes, David NEVER wastes anytime coming out to fight. I think that in our Katzbach game, though, he would be wise to discern the location of the Allies before he plunges headfirst into the battle. Man, those ambushes can be painful! ![]() Enjoying playing David again after a several year drought. Last time we played was long ago and he thumped me very good. |

Never fear and always look at the enemy in the eyes when I can see him. ![]() ![]() I have to say that I encounter a few difficulties at Leipzig... Between Dennewitz and now Katzbach. The hardest is to find what to do... For example as French at Dennewitz I would recommended to withdraw the 4th corps to a better defensive position and wait for reinforcements. At Katzbach... The French have to figure out what to do when attacking. Between the lack of dry powder for the infantry and the heavy mud!!! I have a lot of difficulties to attack a well defended position... I think you helped me remember how the Guard can be resilient to many assaults... ![]() ![]() |

davidguegan wrote: It's associated with the weather... and yes I think it's new. ![]() There is a new value called Fire Mod and it has to do with the effects of rain upon musket fire. The old Artillery mod did not affect musket fire so I had John add in (still) another mod. Thus for battles where it rained heavily the muskets are useless. It is covered on the JTS website under "Changes": "A new Fire Modifier was added into the parameter data for the weather lines which can be used to portray the effects of weather on small arms fire." |
