Bulletin de la Grande Armée No. 8
Officers of the Grande Armée,
I am proud to share with you the advancements that the Grande Armée & the NWC has made since 23rd June 2023.
A change in command occurred in the 1er Corps d'Armée of the Grande Armée, Général Gregor Morgan assumed command of it while its long leading commander Maréchal d'Empire Francisco Palomo joined the Cavalerie de la Garde Impériale in its 2ème Escadron de Régiment de Grenadiers à Cheval de la Garde Impériale.
The Empire is proud to have Maréchal Palomo join the guard, a fine example of an officer contributing to the club and then being rewarded by joining the Garde Impériale.
But the Empire is just as proud of the new corps commander Général Morgan who had proved his skills serving division commander, and has already shown his worth as corps commander.
Two fine example of officers contributing, if any officers wishes the same he just needs to contact me.
Then there was an adjustment of the officer muster duties, this was done to allow for more time to muster and more time to report, so to make the results of the quarterly muster reports more reliable and with that to cause less need to apply changes to our OOB and webpages.
Every officers should remember the simple duty of answering his superiors muster call once a quarter.
Training wise we advanced to train members who joined in the 2nd quarter of 2023. Still not at the point that was mentioned in the last Bulletin, but we are getting closer to the goal of training new members right away.
In case anyone wants to join the trainers of the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Last but not least is our clubs beloved core gaming series, the Napoleonic Battles series. WDS continues to improve this series, and by now we are at patch level 4.07.1. If anyone wants to contribute to the improvement he shouldn't hesitate to post any idea, error, etc. on the WDS forum. Of course we welcome any discussions about any kind of improvements on our forum too, so if you got something on your mind just let us know by posting a thread on our own NWC forum.

Following is a list of noteworthy occurrences of our officer corps since the 23rd June 2023.
Guard assignments
Maréchal d'Empire Francisco Palomo retired as Corps Commander of the 1er Corps d'Armée and was assigned to the 2ème Escadron de Régiment de Grenadiers à Cheval de la Garde Impériale on 2nd October 2023.
Command assignments
Général Gregor Morgan was assigned to 1er Corps d'Armée as its new Commandant en Chef du 1er Corps d'Armée on 2nd October 2023.
Awards
Général Christian Hecht received the Légion d'honneur Cent-Jours (100 Days) on 2nd November 2023 for passing 1500 Administrative Points.
Sous-Lieutenant Michał Młódzik received the Médaille Militaire on 2nd November 2023 for his first major victory.(S2023F0065)
Maréchal d'Empire Pete Russo received the Légion d'honneur 3 on 2nd October 2023 for passing 750 Administrative Points.
Général de Brigade Garret Fitzgerald received the La Croix de Triomphe de Militaire on 10th September 2023 for reaching 35 VP.
Promotions
Having gained enough OBD points then Sous-Lieutenant William White was promoted to Lieutenant on 11th December 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Sous-Lieutenant Jonathan Powles was promoted to Lieutenant on 3rd November 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Lieutenant Victor Nelson was promoted to Capitaine on 2nd November 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Major David Andrews was promoted to Colonel on 2nd November 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Sous-Lieutenant Victor Nelson was promoted to Lieutenant on 2nd October 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Major Fred Edens was promoted to Colonel on 2nd October 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Major Renaud Dupre de Boulois was promoted to Colonel on 29th July 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Chef de Bataillon Renaud Dupre de Boulois was promoted to Major on 29th July 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Chef de Bataillon Nicholas Ferry was promoted to Major on 29th July 2023.
Graduations
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Lieutenant Sergio Porres received his Diplôme Avancé de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 25th December 2023.
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Colonel Renau Dupre de Boulois received his Diplôme de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 24th November 2023.
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Sous-Lieutenant Victor Nelson received his Diplôme de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 1st October 2023.
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Sous-Lieutenant Juan Martin received his Diplôme de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 8th September 2023.
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Sous-Lieutenant James Grcevich received his Diplôme Avancé de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 8th September 2023.
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Lieutenant Rubén Moreno received his Diplôme Avancé de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 22nd July 2023.
Having graduated from the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire Lieutenant Tony Butcher received his Diplôme de L’École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 18th July 2023.
New officers
Sous-Lieutenant Ambrozy Sumada joined our ranks on 11th December 2023, he was assigned to the 14ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Tim Bright joined our ranks on 25th October 2023, he was assigned to the 2ème Compagnie du 3ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Cheval in the 1er Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Chris Trog joined our ranks on 2nd September 2023, he was assigned to the 5ème Compagnie du 1er Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 5ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Greg Taylor joined our ranks on 2nd September 2023, he was assigned to the 5ème Compagnie du 1er Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 5ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Aaron McConnell joined our ranks on 18th August 2023, he was assigned to the 1ère Compagnie du 7ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 5ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Luc Liu joined our ranks on 29th July 2023, he was assigned to the 2ème Compagnie du 8ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 1er Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Michał Młódzik joined our ranks on 15th July 2023, he was assigned to the 1ère Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Cheval in the 3ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Denis Picquet joined our ranks on 27th June 2023, he was assigned to the 2ème Compagnie du 7ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 3ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Jules Verne joined our ranks on 26th June 2023, he was assigned to the 5ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 5ème Corps d'Armée.
Inactive officers returning
Major David Andrews was reactivated on 2nd September 2023, he was assigned to the 36ème Régiment d'Infanterie de Ligne in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
