Some great news rather hot off the press, but Wargame Design Studio (WDS) has purchased the full JTS game catalogue with the intention to continue to publish and enhance the complete range of games. They also intend to publish new games, which the ACW Series is the first one to get a new game, Forgotten Campaigns: https://wargameds.com/products/forgotten-campaigns

WDS has been doing support & enhancements for JTS games since 2016. All games will be rebranded under the WDS name. Their original site link and JTS' site link will route to the new address: https://wargameds.com

Their About Us section briefly mentions the change: https://wargameds.com/pages/about-us-wds

There's a great FAQ section that talks about the changes: https://wargameds.com/blogs/news/wargam ... -campaigns

A key point mentioned: All games purchased through John Tiller Software are completely supported in the same manner that JTS has supported them for years.

The folks at WDS have been working on the various series for years and we've all benefitted from that for sure.

So this is great news on the continued legacy of what John started! 8)

WDS also just sent out an email about the changes to those on the JTS mailing list.

Thanks Scott.

The new homepage is a bit hard on the eyes. But great news.

It appears all of the Napoleonics have now been upgraded to the new JTS Waterloo version changes and can be downloaded from the new website using your current serial number to install. It's probably wise longer term to get new installers for all your games, but don't all flood WDS at once.

Are these updates complete new installations for full games or updates to installed products. There is a new directory path in the installers.

They are installers, so are the complete installations. You should get an email from WDS with a download link and activation code. Downloads direct from the website don't seem to be working. The activation code is the same one as the JTS one you are using.

I've just installed NRC version 4.0 and it worked like a dream!

To clarify:

The updates are just that - updates. The default path is different (as noted in the update pop up message), but you just change that to where you have the game installed. These files have an .exe file extension.

The installers that you get the separate emails about are full game installers. No further updating is needed for them. These files have an .msi file extension.

The update server is getting beat to pieces right now, so if you have the bandwdith, grabbing the full installer(s) is likely your best path of action.

Alternatively, just update a game or two, then come back later in the weekend to grab more...when traffic slows a bit.

Thanks Rich, so I can just update the currently installed games and save the installers for future use when needed.

Yes, if that's what you wish.

A request though...just update a game or two, then come back later for more. The Update server is getting hammered... this is different than the full installer server by the way...

Thanks!

I've been downloading the full download for several titles this morning, but I had three that didn't have working attachments that would download.

Bonaparte Peninsula, Marango, and Eylau didn't have downloads

I guess that's what is happening.

I'll make a note and come back later...

Great work, BTW. You've been working hard.

We are having server issues and have hit a hard data cap with our provider...trying to get that resolved now. Best to kick it back till later in the weekend before trying again.

Yes, if can I echo Rich's suggestion ... hold off on doing a lot of hits on the downloads and updates. Spread it out over a period of a month perhaps. Just do those that you really need.

David, Rich and whoever else was involved in this work ... again, wonderful job. I love the graphics on the series pages. Like Andy I have already voiced my opinion that the front page be changed to have a static image OR for an option to have the animation turned off. Frankly what I am doing is just quickly click on one of the links and that settles the matter. You can also make bookmarks to the links and go that route.

I will miss the old site. Its like an old friend is saying goodbye. This is a good move though. We always will remember John Tiller and what he brought to the community. Good friend, simple website, great games.

As we move onward I know that John would enjoy what is going on with the products. Improved graphics are on the way. Lots of great new games.

Hold onto your hats, folks .... here comes some new products and there is still a lot more to go!

IS that during installation?
If so click on the more info at the top of the blue screen.
Then click run anyway.

Hi Andy

This is the type of message I get http://www.pulsetheworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/This_website_has_been_reported_as_unsafe--656x372.png

You can ignore the warning and carry on, the download starts but is never completed
