Ed and I just agreed to a draw after 130/160 turns of "The Battle of the Emperors" at Raab in Campaign Leipzig. This was a good fight with the victory swinging back and forth over the course of 2 full days of combat. In the end, the Austrians held on to the main city of Raab -- although the French took the city sections north of the river. The Austrians had run out of artillery ammo but still had strong enough ground forces to dissuade the Emperor from attempting to cross the bridges in an assault on the city proper.

Key to the battlefield are the rivers that essentially divide the map into four or five distinct fields of operations and the bridges that control of the crossing points becomes critical.

To put the draw behind us, we have agreed to continue our affair at Campaign Leipzig - Bonus 1. The Battle of Leipzig -- a 265 turn affair with over 200K troops on each side. This should take some time.

A tip of the Shako to you Muddy. It was quite a donnybrook. I would like to see the French entry points adjusted as nearly a full third of the French cavalry is unable to join the battle unless enough of Raab is taken to allow the French use of the bridges. Are you listening Bill?
