Mes Braves and the misguided officers of the Allied rabble.

Please sheath your swords and sabres, stack your muskets, rifles and lances. Come, fill your pipe, pour another glass and gather round to welcome a fine new officer into our midst.

Sous-Lieutenant Gian Luca Giorgi has been entrusted with the command of the Bataillon de Tirailleurs du Pô, 3ème Division, 4ème Corps d’Armée.

Please welcome him into the NWC. I have no doubt that within a very short while he will become the scourge of the Allies.

Let's have a toast together Greg. This round is on me.

Welcome indeed Sir.

Always a pleasure to share a bottle or two with our brethren from l'Infanterie Légère. A toast to you and the 27ème, may your powder always be dry and your aim steady.

:frenchsalute:

Whats that you say, take a drink, well, don't mind if I do Old Boy.

Now then, let's take a look at the new chap of yours. Ah I see, full of vim and vigor and enthusiastic to boot.

Well, welcome to the club young man, I'll draw the line at wishing you too much luck though. And yes, of course, I will help you drink this wine, after all you don't want a sore head for your first battle do you?

Welcome indeed, young enemy! If you would be so kind as to thoroughly wipe your boots on the welcome mat. As infantry, there is a chance you may have had to follow in the wake of horse and wagon that have not eaten well. Especially if you had to follow an artillery train. We all know what fire and brimstone the guns belch, but the gunners have also been known to dispense a horror from their own person that would make an executioner wince.

As a Sous-Lieutenant, on your off days do you work at being a Sous Chef? (A wee bit of French humor)
