Gentlemen,
here we have the 4.06 for our favorite Napoleonic Battles series. This round of update has again a bunch of beneficial changes and further improves our favorite series.

There is a new OR in the 4.06 release (Strict Line of Sight). Do you suggest ON or OFF?.

This OR may be a bit complicated to be judged:
A quick thinking makes me see it this way:
- Turn it ON if the OOB depicts many officers, down even to regimental level although brigaded level is usually the lowest command level we use. If that is so, you can have them acting like they did, ride around and decide where units take up position.
- Turn if OFF if the OOB is more restricted and by that unrealistically restricts the player in placing units.

So in the end it may be a matter of how detailed the OOB is and that can be different not only from game to game but also from scenario to scenario.

Gents, we had a problem pointed out when using the "No Melee Elimination" optional rule which allowed units from both armies to occupy the same hex at the end of a melee. We have just recompiled the updates for all games with a fix for this - so if you use this optional rule you'll want to grab the update again. We left it at 4.06 because a) this isn't a Default rule & b) this is the only issue...so version number remains the same. Date modified date on the exe's will be 5/12/23.

Ran into this in an RBR game I am playing with Bill Cann. French and Allied units in the same hex! It was a real party, I tell you.

Reading through the changes PDF:

"Square and unlimbered artillery can not change position within hex"

could someone help me on this one please.
I tried a few options limbering/unlibmering within a square and changing facing of a battery - i can see no restrictions.

This may refer to the order in which the units are listed in the unit box, I assume that order can't be changed.

Correct, and as such some units may be blocked from firing.
