Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I am testing the new 4.07 update and am running into a problem. When I start up a new scenario and do the First Player turn and then end the player turn the program is not prompting me to save the file as it always has in the past.

If any of your are testing 4.07 for Rich Hamilton would you let me know if this also was an issue for you too? This also applies for anyone that applies the update once it is released.

Rich says that this is unique to me. I am saying that I never had this until 4.07 came out.

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

I was able to solve the Save File issue and the problem with the game not showing up in the Windows 10 - Installed Programs list. By deleting the Registry Entry for the game I was testing it then removed the Serial Code entry. Once that happened I deleted the entire folder for the game and then reinstalled the game. I then copied the original folder (I use 4.00 installers) and applied the 4.07 update to that one.

The Save File Dialog comes up again. The program is now in the Windows 10 Installed Program list.

I will have to do this with all of my NB games but its ok. Glad to finally know how to solve this problem.

I am going to share the technical details with Rich Hamilton so that if anyone else needs to remove their Registry entry they can get this information from him. I do not want to be responsible for screwing up someone's operating system.
