It is with immense pleasure and a heart swelling with pride that I report to you the promotion was secured through the glorious outcome of the recent Eckmuhl campaign battle, a decisive victory for the Coalition forces under my command. As the Austrian army is marching forward, I am delighted to share the details of this triumph.

The engagement unfolded on the battlefield of Landshut, where the Austrian 5th Army Corps, under the esteemed leadership of Archduke Charles himself, clashed with the opposing Bavarian rearguard. The valorous Austrian 3rd Light Division skilfully maneuvered achieving a breakthrough to the first bridge, disrupting the Bavarian defences.

The turning point of the battle transpired as the 2nd Division militia, displaying unwavering bravery, executed multiple frontal assaults across the second bridge. Their heroic efforts sealed the victory of the day, creating a path for the Coalition forces to dominate the field.

The 1st Division, in a coordinated display of might, obliterated the Bavarian rearguard, ensuring that no remnants of resistance lingered. Meanwhile, the 3rd Division cavalry relentlessly pursued the retreating enemy, securing our major victory.

This triumph stands as a testament to the strength, discipline, and tactical brilliance of the Coalition forces. A great day for the Coalition arms indeed!
