Hi all.
Is it possible to record battles so I can go back and see everything that went right or wrong, (usually what happens in my case). ?? :smug: :frenchlol:

Hi James,

There is a Replay function (see the Modes menu), although I haven't used it and am not sure how it works. I imagine you'd need to start a new replay for each PBEM turn.

I keep notes as I play (check the AAR section for La Grande Armée), and I will generally write up some observations and thoughts. I also like to examine how my opponent played and how I might have played differently if we had switched sides.

And of course, just talking with my opponents as we wrap up a scenario to "debrief" and share observations is a good way too.

Another option could be to record your screen using OBS (https://obsproject.com/) and review the video footage for your turns.

Steve

Sir,
My philosophy on post-battle analysis is exactly the same.
We should cross swords one day — for sport, honour, and good company!

I would be honoured, sir!

There's no replay function for the entire game unfortunately. In multiplayer games, it would be great to be able to see one for your side.

It is time consuming, but if you are really interested, you could always go back to your emails, and download the game files sent by your opponent, one by one, and watch the replay. Not a great option I admit, and you only see the movements of the opposition, but an option none the less.
