Hello everyone, and thank you for your warm welcome. I'll start by opening my tab at the tavern and buying a round for everyone! A good Napoleon cognac, of course, to the Emperor's health... Who am I? I'm Marco, 60 years old, a former combat helicopter pilot in the French Army Aviation 'ALAT', with 27 years of service. I live in southwestern France. I've been playing WDS for a few years now, both Panzer Campaign and Panzer Battle. I tried playing Napoleonic Battles, but I must admit there are many points in the rules that I just can't grasp, despite reading them. It's a period I really enjoy, and I'd like to learn how to play a few practice games before venturing onto the plains of Europe for real. A few years ago, I played "Morne Plaine" online. This is a very enjoyable but very simple Napoleonic wargame. I was a general commanding the prestigious "Empress's Dragoons." I hope I live up to your expectations. Thanks for your offer, but no offense, I'd prefer to play with an opponent who has a perfect grasp of the rules first, so they can answer the many questions I have about details I don't quite understand. I’m giving you my email dedicated to Napoleonic PBEM so we can decide on the scenario (I have all four titles) and the ORs (Optional Rules), as well as discuss and compare the aspects of the game related to the historical ones. I agree with you that playing helps you improve — just like in football, the best training is playing matches. Marc, I also offer a manoeuvre to help refine your skills and share learning. Sandro and I are currently locked in a fierce battle, with many stories of bravery and dare do. It would be interesting to see what we three could learn from each other. I've been reading a lot about, and experimenting with, the game engine, so happy to share.
