Officers of La Grande Armée and of the Anglo-Allied Army.

As the Festive period approaches, may I humbly request that we pause for a moment and give thanks to our comrades in arms on both sides of the divide.

La Grande Armée for allowing the Allies a few successes and the Anglo-Allies for always coming back for more. Seriously, though, the NWC membership deserves great recognition as both the number of games being played and of new recruits entering service continues to grow. Likewise, the number of interactions hitting the Forums is increasing too. All great to see.

I would personally like to thank the Leadership of the various Armies, that make up the Anglo-Allied Army, they have offered me a great deal of assistance over the last 10 months. In particular, I would ask Generalfeldmarschall Scott Kronprinz Ludwig von Preußen to take a bow. He has the patience of a saint.

May I finally take the opportunity to wish everyone and their loved ones a very Merry Christmas. Remember there is a plethora of discrete military tailors who can let out uniforms to accommodate that extra food and wine consumed in celebration.

However you celebrate the Festive period, enjoy!

A fine and generous message — especially the part about the LGA allowing the Allies a few successes.

Such kindness is, of course, entirely in keeping with French tradition… and we are, naturally, deeply grateful for the French explanation of Allied victories. It is a most helpful narrative — particularly for newer LGA recruits still familiarising themselves with the realities of facing veteran Allied troops.

May your uniforms survive the holidays with only minor tailoring and may the New Year bring clear maps, steady musket sights and fewer French miracles!

Well said Général Morgan! (Though your statement on allowing us a few victories is properly summed up by General-Leytenant Tartyshev! :frenchlol: )

I too wish to extend appreciation and thanks to our great members of the Club! Playing games, participating in the forums, writing AARs and the outstanding batch of new officers who joined us this year!

I'd like to thank Gregor for his kind comment and in return give the same recognition to him! He stepped into the breech to serve and has done an amazing job doing so, helping to continue and build upon the success we've had in recent years. Also to Major Sergio Porres & Lieutenant Steve Simenic, the training staff at L'École Spéciale Impériale Militaire, Maréchal d'Empire Pete Russo, Maréchal d'Empire Paul Chavis and Maréchal d'Empire Mark Oakford for the awesome work they've been doing with La Grande Armée!

My fellow officers, commanders, leaders & staff in the Allied Coalition, your participation and camaraderie are greatly appreciated!

We wouldn't be here without all of our members! Drinks are on me for the next week!

Your words perfectly reflect the spirit of camaraderie and honourable rivalry that defines our ranks. I gladly join in the recognition of our leaders and comrades-in-arms, and wish everyone a very good new year with great victories ahead, especially over the members of the AAR :wink: , in the campaigns yet to come.

Subject: A Toast from the Winter Quarters – Holiday Greetings.

Gentlemen of the Club,
As the campaign season draws to a close and our armies settle into their Winterquartiere (winter quarters), I wish to take a moment by the fire to send my warmest regards to you all. Although I have only recently donned the white coat and joined these ranks, I must express my deep gratitude for the Kameradschaft (camaraderie) I have experienced here. It is a rare honor to find a mess hall where a new officer is welcomed with such genuine warmth and military courtesy.

I also raise my glass of Glühwein to our High Command—the Administration. We all know that no army marches without logistics and order; your tireless work behind the lines ensures that this club remains a prestigious institution worthy of our time and passion. Danke schön for your service. May you all enjoy the Gemütlichkeit of the season with your families and loved ones. Rest well, gentlemen, and check your flints.

To my allies of the Coalition: Stand firm! Let us drink to the health of the Kaiser and the liberation of Europe.

To our adversaries across the lines: Enjoy your champagne while the snow lasts, Messieurs. When the spring thaw arrives, be assured that the Austrian artillery will be ready to exchange more than just pleasantries.
