Gentlemen of His Britannic Majesty's Army. It brings great satisfaction to the Imperial Staff to see merit duly rewarded. I wish to extend my heartiest congratulations to all the officers standing in review today to receive their decorations. In these dark times, when the shadow of revolution threatens the established order, it is the loyalty and valor of men such as yourselves that hold the line. Although our armies often march on different fronts—you on the Peninsula or the seas, and we on the Danube—we remain Waffenbrüder (brothers-in-arms). Wear your Auszeichnungen (distinctions/medals) with pride, Gentlemen. They are not merely bits of metal and ribbon; they are proof that the Lion and the Eagle stand united against the tyranny of Paris. The Kaiser sleeps better knowing such officers serve the Common Cause. Hoch, Hoch, Hoch! (Hurrah!) |
