On behalf of the Army Commander (AC) Field Marshal Sir "Lucky" Jim Hall, 1st Duke of York & Albany K.G. and Army Chief of Staff (CoS) Field Marshal Sir Andrew Moss, 1st Duke of Wellington K.G., please join me in celebrating the awarding of the below Medals, Awards & Orders to the following Anglo-Allied Army (AAA) Officer:

Awarded to AAA British, Spanish & Portuguese officers upon a victory in the full Battle of Ligny, Quatre Bras or Waterloo 16-18th June 1815.

​News has reached our headquarters of your decisive Sieg (victory) on the fields of Belgium. While the Austrian Army marched towards the Rhine, we looked anxiously to the north, knowing that the fate of Europe rested on the shoulders of Your Grace's army. You did not falter.

​To wear the silver of Waterloo is to carry the proof that you stood firm against the fury of the Grande Armée and broke its back. You have earned not just a medal, but the Ewiger Dank (eternal gratitude) of every monarch in Europe.
