Monsieur le Général de Brigade Alan Sharif, <salute> It is with a mixture of profound Hochachtung (deep respect) and slight apprehension that I receive the news of your promotion. As we are currently locked in the heat of the battle of Abensberg, I must confess: it was already difficult enough to maneuver against a Colonel of the 95th; to now face a General makes my tactical situation even more precarious! It is a privilege to cross swords with an officer who combines such tactical skill with true Ritterlichkeit (chivalry). Our correspondence has been the highlight of this campaign.
