La Grande Armée - Promotion


Le Grand Quartier-Général Impériale has confirmed that Colonel Alan Sharif's efforts on the field of honour have been recognised.


It gives me great pleasure to announce on behalf of Général Hecht that with immediate effect,
Colonel Alan Sharif has been promoted to the rank of Général de Brigade.

​It is with a mixture of profound Hochachtung (deep respect) and slight apprehension that I receive the news of your promotion.

​As we are currently locked in the heat of the battle of Abensberg, I must confess: it was already difficult enough to maneuver against a Colonel of the 95th; to now face a General makes my tactical situation even more precarious!

​It is a privilege to cross swords with an officer who combines such tactical skill with true Ritterlichkeit (chivalry). Our correspondence has been the highlight of this campaign.

​Wear your new sash with pride, Mon Général. But be warned: the Austrian whitecoats will not salute you with blanks when I send the next turn file!
