 La Grande Armée - Officer returning to the Eagles. By order of l'Empereur Napoleon I. and Le Grand Quartier-Général Impérial, Sous-Lieutenant Carl Amling has been re-activated and is hereby assigned to: 1ère Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Cheval, Artillerie Divisionnaire, 2ème Division d'Infanterie, III Corps. Sous-Lieutenant Amling, I hereby return your badges of rank.  Please join me in welcoming Carl back to La Grande Armée and the NWC.

Sous-Lieutenant Amling, In your honor, I have called a ceasefire for tomorrow, and all officers are encouraged to celebrate the event by drinking as much of our favorite wine (Merlot de Fontainebleau) as possible. Besides, when the news reached the battlefield of your reinstatement, the enemy Armée retreated so fast that there wasn’t a single soul left to inform of the ceasefire. |

Monsieur le Sous-Lieutenant Carl Amling. The Austrian command notes your Rückkehr (return) to the III Corps with respectful caution. A competent officer commanding the fast-moving guns of the reitende Artillerie (horse artillery) is always a dangerous sight on the battlefield. We shall ensure our infantry squares are well-prepared for your arrival. May your cannons roll smoothly, but may your aim find only empty fields! Willkommen (Welcome) back to the front. |
