Hm, I am not sure ... the way I read the figures, so far only the Prussian fared worse than we in surviving into Round Two.

7 out of 12 Russians made it, or 58.33%
5 out of 10 Anglo-Allied, or 50%
2 out of 4 Austians, or 50%
16 out of 35 French, or 45.71%
0 out of 3 Prussian, or 0.00%

Since half of the participants will be eliminated, the survival ratio for Round One will be 50%, so with two matches still open the Russians have already exceeded their quota, the Anglo-Allied and the Austrians will at least meet it, and the French (slightly) and Prussians (dramatically) have so far underperformed. The exact survival rate presently is 46.88% (30 out of 64 participants), so even disregarding the two games still open, we are lagging behind, and only with both French officers still playing winning their game can we at least catch up with the average survival rate.

Now personally I would be most interested in learning about the *Bavarian* victory to defeat ratio. [8)]

Well, in first rounds of tournament they will count for french side, final matches being added to allied (or rather their own) one [:D]

It appears the Bavarian record is exactly average (2 wins out of 4 players) *if* Mike Davies is the Allied Mike Davies. If he's ours, unfortunately, we scored only 40% (2 out of 5). [:I]

I wouldn't read too much into the results of the 1st Round. For instance, many French officers were eliminated by "friendly" fire in matches against other French officers.

I can assure you that there will be at least 1 Russian officer, Eugene Gulyaev, that will never see the 3rd Round[:D].

Was thinking about the same idea lately (with 2 Russians fighting each other [:D]), but this "clear result of friendly fight" is just not being true. Why? Becouse, at the same time, it will assure that AT LEAST ONE of Russian/French will go through that fight (which is not necessary when fighting member of other army) ...
Friendly fight stops more members of the same army going through, while assuring some basic number of them being in next round for sure at the same time [:)]

Please extend my sincere apologies to Major General Gulyaev, I did not wish to slur his rank.

As to the encounter, I look forward to the challenge that the good MG will no doubt present, but I would simply note that I have previously defeated at least two different CiC's of the Russian Army and I am in the process of inflicting a major defeat at Abbensberg on Generalissimus Moss, currently the highest rated officer in your army. As they say, the past is the prologue to the present ...[8D]

In previous MOEs each round featured a different, custom scenario. I expect that Sir Muddy will be sending the new scenarios to everyone shortly.
