Sirs,

playing Round2 of MOE3 (Landshut to Rottenburg scenario), I encountered one strange bug. I:
- made moves with some units
- re-joined 3 cavalry squadrons with their parental unit
- moved this "big unit" (not full-size, some suqads still were disordered and left behind) bit forward
- called 3 squadrons from "big unit", leaving them on the same hex with parental one
- made moves with other units
- performed embedded melee with other units (this stack is not in close proximity of enemy units)
Just before closing the turn/file I checked this stack, recognising that NONE of those 4 squads is parental (tried to re-join as well, receiving well-known "parental unit not on the same hex" message).
What happened? How a parental unit could "cease" to be parental??

Sir,
I think I know how this can happen by accident. If you have already detached all the available squadrons and then accidentally hit the 'S' button again with the small parent unit selected, then this parent squadron in effect becomes a detached squadron itself and loses it's parent status permanently. The same was also true in the old battleground games. Could this have happened to you[?]

I wish the game engine would be fixed to prevent this from happening. It serves no purpose and has only disadvantages.

Hmmm, yeah, that could be what happened to my cavalry. Damn, should take a double care to my clicks in the future [:D]
