the new matrix game "crown of glory" game covering strategic level warfare, management, diplomacy, etc. has gone gold (sic) and should be available in the first week of july. [:D][:D][:D]

there will be a tactical division level battle system too.

Is there a website giving details for this?

What does gone gold mean?

This sounds like it could be good

Look and sounds "intriguing"! Could this be the answer to our "strategic level" gaming needs?

Oh boy!

This looks like my dream come true. A strategic game with resources AND a reasonable battle game.

This is a must try.

Thanks for the link Stephane

No PBEM or did I read the options incorrectly?

"Full Multiplayer Support via internet, LAN, serial/parallel connection or hotseat"

LAN, Hotseat, solo against A/I.

If the A/I is any good I might get it and if PBEM is an option. Will listen for reports from you guys first and if its good will buy it as long as it has a PBEM option. Otherwise cant get into LAN games anymore as my connection stinks at times.

Gents,

just red in the Matrix forum that PBEM is included.
The manual for the game is 200 pages long so this
game try to do many things at once and maybe that
could be it's achillesheel?
I look open minded forward for what this is or not is[:p]

Oh no!

Only 200 pages. That is not nearly complicated enough[:(]

This must be a very basic game[:(!]

The manual must have at least a full chapter on the consequences of a butterfly flapping its wings in Malaysia ...[:D]

I am going to enjoy this I think

I have tested part of the game and it was complicated enough and promising... At the beginning they wanted to add the PBEM in a patch later but a friend of mine and myself insisted to have it in the game. [;)]

David G. - Good for you! To not have included PBEM in the release would have been a big mistake.

NOW I will probably buy the game just out of curiosity. And yes, if I have time ... would be looking for opponents.

Good to have met you at Tiller Con.
