Post subject:  Campaign Waterloo Optional Rules

Hi folks, I have just returned to the fold after buying my first HPs game (The graphics have always put me off but these look about bearable). I used to play the beautiful Talonsoft Napoleonic games a
few years ago and was a 2nd Lieutenant in the NWC I think.

I am planning to play against the AI before looking for a pbem. I was just wondering what optional rules people tend to play in pbem?
Is opportunity fire a common choice or phases? I can't find any way to set a preferred op fire range, I assume this is not possible?

Thanks, Chris

For a PBEM game, I like them all checked except for Manual Defensive Fire.

I have to admit that I like MDF a lot, but that it raises the number of gamefles being sent back and forth to an impossible number. This is especially so for one of those 400 turn games where it could take more than a few years to finish it.

MDF is better for TCP/IP play.

Welcome back Chris,

Here's the optional rules I prefer:

And as of now there's no way to adjust your defensive fire ranges, but hope to resolve that soon!
