For multiple day battles where reinforcements arrive on subsequent days I have found it easier to change the date before I start adding in the reinforcement groups.

This way you dont have to change the date for each group. The add reinforcement choice keys on the date of the first day. Thus if you trick the editor into thinking that the current day is the second day of the battle then you dont have to change the date. Saves on alot of mouse clicking.

Just make sure that you switch it back to the correct date or you will have alot of guys that never arrive (for groups that come in on the first day). Also messes up releases too!

Example:

You have a three day battle that starts on April 16th, 1809. You have added all of the reinforcement groups for the 16th and now want to start adding in those for the 17th. Simply change the date of the scenario in the Scenario Header to 17 April. Now everytime you add in a group its date defaults to the 17th. And of course as you add in more groups for subsequent days you can change it to the 18th, 19th, etc.

Hope this helps!

That is a great stop gap measure Bill. Thanks. [:)] It will do wonders until the scenario editor gets fixed.

Then, in what way do you consider the scenario editor broken? Specifics, not just generic comments.

All Bill posted was a shortcut to simplify some things in multiday battles. (Personally, I think I'd be more likely to get myself all snarled doing it his way, but that's a matter of personal preference).

Rick was pointing out the fact that the editor doesnt make popcorn. To some gamers that is a serious downside to our products.[:D]

Bill, and I'm glad, when we tried to playtest that, my printer smelled like butter for a month.

No Bill, that's not quite it.

Every time I tell it that I want imported beer, I get crappy Budweiser. Sheesh. This is a MAJOR bug that in my opinion needs to get fixed right away.

Then you have to put a folded piece of cardboard under one its legs just to get it to do that.

On top of all that, whenever I present it to my cats they just lift their noses and walk away.

C'mon guys. You haven't noticed this?

Gee, I didn't know about that popcorn bug. Thanks for revealing it. You are quite the brave man Bill.

This will all be fixed by the time 1813 rolls off the production line, right?

Yes, we plan on getting the beer thing right as well as the popcorn butter setting as well.

1813 will come out right after we release Napoleon Does Hollywood. And I cant remember the date on that one right now but its sometime after we do Eugene Goes to Australia! [:D]
