Turn 10 of 200 and half my frontline troops have become fixed! How does that make sense. Now those units are blocking non-fixed units. I was told it simulates a lack of communication amongst commands. Well, they must have walkie talkies because some of the units in the same division are 50 hexes apart. They can communicate with each other but can't talk to FML's 10 hexes away. This really took the fun out of the scenario. Why not add in that halfway through the battle a dam breaks and everyone within 10 hexes of a river is eliminated. Or Covid 1 dropped by and only incapacitates artillery men for 30 turns. A wee bit frustrated here.

Dresden was one of the hardest scenarios I ever built. If the entire Allied army is allowed to remain mobile the battle is over by the afternoon. Napoleon arrives to find the city captured.

So we added in FIXED orders. Now I just looked those over and while its been many years since I built this scenario I can see that some revision is needed.

First, the Scenario Description makes no mention of this. My apologies on that. However I decide to revise it I will add in entries alerting the players to open up the Release Dialog and check for FIXED or RELEASES.

Rich is doing updates to the series so I should have this off to him soon in plenty of time before the Leipzig update goes out.

Bill, thank you for the reply. It was a frustrating moment and I had never experienced units becoming fixed before so I vented here. Bad manners on my part.

Utmost respect for you on the massive amount of time, skill, and expertise for making all these games that I have enjoyed for years. Otherwise I will be reading romance novels and watching Dr Pimple Popper all day! I try to explain to my wife that these games will help the slow decline of my memory. She is not buying it but I do.

Well done to you.
