Game starts off as a French Major victory...

Is that correct?

Does anyone have any experience with Scenario 62?

I'm just trying to make sure this is correct.

Sir,

That is correct. In effect, the Austrians are the aggressors in the scenario and have victory points to gain by capturing them from the French.

But the game doesn't really set up that way, does it?

I have played this one several times. In every case the Austrians advance, grab objectives and at some point its at a Draw. Then more French arrive and it becomes a fight to destroy units and hold the objectives. The action is fought over a wide front and the roads are the fast way to advance but often you have to "shake out" and deploy in the fields or behind hedges and walls.

The Allies won historically so I put the burden of assault on them so that they do not just sit in Verona and wait on the French army. Otherwise it would not be "The Battle of Magnano."
