I love it!! Its a great game!

:frenchvive1:

Oh wait .. I am slightly biased ;)

These battles are not as popular, I realize, but to truly experience all of the "Napoleonic-Revolutionary War" era I believe that everyone should get a copy of this game and go through the scenario list and play at least five of the battles. There are several that are huge but many that are moderate sized to where you wont be spending 5 months at it.

Kaiserlautern is a challenge for the French. I just heard back from a friend of mine who played Ernie Sands who said that his attack in the south against the Prussians was foiled. Yes, the Prussians down there will eventually hold the upper hand. The goal there is to try and draw more Allied troops to the south so that the main French force in the middle and left wing can defeat the Allied right wing.

I've played that one several times. Always a good fight.

Amberg is another good battle. This time its the Allies attacking and the French have to hold them off until more troops arrive later in the battle.

Jim Pfluecke played "get to me if you can" in our battle of Neerwinden. In the end the terrain slowed me up so much that my attacks were uncoordinated and he won. The French infantry have bad morale and it makes it more of a challenge to win than in the later battles of the French Rev included in the game like 1st and 2nd Zurich or Messkirch the latter which I highly recommend.

I've tried two battles so far, I didn't feel like I ever had a chance in either of them.

Off the top of my head, I don't remember what they were.

I was frustrated by the game. I think the person I was playing was very good too.

I don't know.

Both games started out as major French defeats and I wasn't able to do anything.

I played a lot of the greats in this club. Had my head handed to me almost every time against them. Tomas Nowacki, Paco Palomo, etc.

Dont let it bias you against the game. Some of our guys are amazing players.

Some guys can't beat me. They are ... well ... ok .. I think his name was ... oh forget it!
