Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

I have never liked the Seven Years War 2D counter graphics so today, finally with some time on my hands, I put together my own set of graphics which I now will use.

The files in the Map subfolder I altered are:

2DSymbolsMag.bmp - 2D Magnified View - shortcut key 5
&
2DSymbolsLg.bmp - 2D Normal View - shortcut key 2

The 2D Zoom Out view counter look remains as is.

You will want to save the two original files just in case you do not like my versions.

I used the counter artwork from Great Northern War. The dark blue are for the Prussians and the dark grey for the Austrians. I wanted a lighter shade for the Austrians but did not want to spend an afternoon playing around with the different effects. I think I removed all of the "sprites" on the sides of the counters. This is a freebie and my eyes do not like this kind of work anymore. Amazingly enough, my hand was steady throughout the work and I never overwrote any of the other colors with the basic green on the edges to remove the "sprites."

Attached zip has the two files you need! As I stated above, first save the two files already in the Map subfolder to a new folder and I suggest calling it "Default Artwork" and THEN unzip the files in the zip.

Feel free to add this to the NWC Graphics library. Hopefully for the next update they will correct the artwork to use the much better graphics for the counters as seen in the new Great Northern War product!
