Bulletin de la Grande Armée No. 7
Officers of the Grande Armée,
I am proud to share with you the advancements that the Grande Armée & the NWC has made since 17th December 2022.
First I can report that we finally found a new Commandant en Premier Inspecteur Général du Génie(Chief Engineer). We welcomed Sergio Porres, by now Lieutenant, with joy as his volunteering finally allowed the Grande Armée to take the editing of our webpages in our own hands, this in return allowed us to relieve Scott Ludwig of the burden to handle the French webpages in addition to the rest of the NWC web content. A hearty thanks to Scott for his support of the French, we wouldn't have performed so good without him.
Our expanded training program continues and we are confident that we will continue to work off a good portion of the wast amount of new members who flooded into the Grande Armée in 2020-21. By now we are training members who joined us in the 3rd quarter of 2022. While we still have not caught up to recently joined members, the delay has shrunk and we hope to be able to train new members right away once we are nearing the end of 2023.
In case anyone wants to join the trainers of the École Spéciale Impériale Militaire, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Last but not least is our clubs beloved core gaming series, the Napoleonic Battles series. WDS continues to improve this series, and by now we are at patch level 4.06. If anyone wants to contribute to the improvement you should hesitate to post on the WDS forum, of course we welcome any discussions about any kind of improvement, so if you got something on your mind just let us know by posting a thread on our own NWC forum.

Following is a list of noteworthy occurrences of our officer corps since the 17th December 2022.
Nobility Titles
For his "Historical Improvement Mod 1.0 - Campaign Bautzen" to improve the Napoleonic Battles game series Général Christian Hecht was granted the title of Comte de l'Empire on 24th December 2022.
Command assignments
Sous-Lieutenant Sergio Porres was assigned to Grand Quartier-Général Impériale as its new Commandant en Premier Inspecteur Général du Génie on 6th February 2023.
Awards
Général de Brigade Dean Webster received the La Croix de la Valeur Militaire on 23rd June 2023 for reaching 20 VP.
Lieutenant Walt Dortch received the Aigle Impérial en Bronze on 27th May 2023 for reaching 5 or more years of active duty in the Grande Armée.
Major Giovanni Boffi received the Aigle Impérial en Bronze on 27th May 2023 for reaching 5 or more years of active duty in the Grande Armée.
Lieutenant Jan Szkudlinski received the Aigle Impérial en Bronze on 27th May 2023 for reaching 5 or more years of active duty in the Grande Armée.
Général de Brigade Paul Smith received the Aigle Impérial en Bronze on 27th May 2023 for reaching 5 or more years of active duty in the Grande Armée.
Chef de Bataillon Renaud Dupre de Boulois received the L'Étoile Militaire on 17th May 2023 for reaching 10 VP.
Chef de Bataillon Nicholas Ferry received the L'Étoile Militaire on 17th May 2023 for reaching 10 VP.
Général Gregor Morgan received the Médaille de Sainte Hélène on 16th April 2023 for commanding 3ème Division of 4ème Corps d'Armée since 17th March 2021
Sous-Lieutenant Sergio Porres received the Médaille Militaire on 3rd March 2023 for his first major victory.(S2023F0008)

Général de Brigade Olivier Bianchi received the Chevalier de l'École Spéciale Impériale Militaire on 6th January 2023 for having successfully trained 5 cadets.

Having gained enough OBD points then Sous-Lieutenant Todd Hively was promoted to Lieutenant on 3rd March 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Major Dean Webster was promoted to Colonel on 3rd March 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Chef de Bataillon Fred Edens was promoted to Major on 3rd March 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Sous-Lieutenant Renaud Dupre de Boulois was promoted to Lieutenant on 25th January 2023.
Having gained enough OBD points then Sous-Lieutenant Thomas Poulson was promoted to Lieutenant on 14th January 2023.
New officers
Sous-Lieutenant Adrian Borders joined our ranks on 27th May 2023, he was assigned to the 13ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Philip Powers joined our ranks on 24th May 2023, he was assigned to the 1ère Compagnie du 7ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 5ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Jonathan Powles joined our ranks on 6th April 2023, he was assigned to the 12ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Nicolas Bernard joined our ranks on 9th March 2023, he was assigned to the 3ème Compagnie du 3ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Cheval in the 1er Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Victor Nelson joined our ranks on 21st February 2023, he was assigned to the 14ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant George Bisset joined our ranks on 19th February 2023, he was assigned to the 3ème Compagnie du 3ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Cheval in the 1er Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Nicklas Strom joined our ranks on 24th January 2023, he was assigned to the 13ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Brock Allton joined our ranks on 12th January 2023, he was assigned to the 2ème Compagnie du 8ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 1er Corps d'Armée.
Sous-Lieutenant Mathias Schulte joined our ranks on 9th January 2023, he was assigned to the 2ème Compagnie du 8ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 1er Corps d'Armée.

Inactive officers returning
Sous-Lieutenant Corey Todaro was reactivated on 28th May 2023, he was assigned to the 17ème Compagnie du 5ème Régiment d'Artillerie à Pied in the 4ème Corps d'Armée.
