By the way I just finished another beautiful work on Napoleonic wars: The Napoleonic Wars: A Global History by Alexander Mikaberidze. It's really excellent... 
My only problem with those very well researched books is that they have a lot of notes at the end of the book, which are harder to follow if you try not to break the reading rhythm. I much prefer notes at the bottom of the pages. It's easier. I wish they well all doing that.
