Lieutenant's Cup |
VMI Medal of Valor |
CSA Sharpshooters |
This
beautiful medal was created by General Robert Weir of the CSA Medal Works
and Foundry, LLC. The idea of which came from a visit to the Virginia
Military Institute's New Market Battlefield Museum. One of the class members
who fought with the VMI Cadets at the battle of New Market designed a medal
commemorating their participation in that battle.
|
This
Medal is awarded to all CSA Officers who complete their first battle with
any Yankee. Please be sure to let us know so that we can make a timely
presentation of this award. |
The creation of this tournament came about from an inquiry from one of our former cadets, Brigadier General Neil Hebert of AotM and former Deputy Commandant. The purpose of it is a way to expose new members from both sides of the Club to one another, thus increasing the number of new opponents with which to game against. |
You are invited to throw your hat into the ring and compete for your training institution against a similar new graduate from UMA. With an opportunity to gain VMI some points towards earning or retaining the Loving Cup for this on going tournament. |
The creation of this contest allows for gamers who score points in games against Union opponents to report those points towards a grand total each quarter. This in turn will be compared with other member points and a beautiful Medal and Ribbon will be awarded. |
Your classroom instruction is now complete. Please forward any and all questions to your assigned instructor. If no instructor has yet been assigned forward your questions to the VMI Staff. |
