The Peerage (Nobility Titles)
About the Peerage: |
|
The peerage is a legal system historically comprising hereditary titles in the United Kingdom (as elsewhere in Europe), comprising various noble ranks, and forms a constituent part of the British honours system. The term peerage can be used both collectively to refer to the entire body of nobles (or a subdivision thereof), and individually to refer to a specific title (modern English language-style using an initial capital in the former case but not the latter). British peerage title holders are termed peers of the Realm. Read more at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peerages_in_the_United_Kingdom and http://www.college-of-arms.gov.uk |
The Peerage in the Anglo-Allied Army (AAA) at the Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC): |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Peerage in the Anglo-Allied Army (AAA) at the Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC) is awarded much like the way the actual system is awarded as a part of the British honours system, where it is used to recognise merit in terms of achievement and service. In the Anglo-Allied Army (AAA) it is awarded for those who show commitment to the Club, the games & the hobby. The titles are awarded based on the number of games completed from the data in the Department of Records (DoR) for an officers. Every game that is a part of an officers record as a win/draw/loss count is used for the total games completed, regardless of victory or defeat. It is simply meant to give credit to the officers who commit the time to play games as members and be a part of the Club year after year. There are also ranks equivalent to the English ones for the Dutch, German (Hanover, Brunswick, KGL), Spanish & Portuguese officers. The various ranks of nobility and the number of games completed that are needed for each rank are: English:
