Opening Statments:

It has been several years since the last Newsletter was published in 2014. This Newsletter will cover Prussian Armee-Korps updates, awards, promotions and changes from 2015 to when this edition is published. Quite a few former members continued to return over the last couple of years and we also had some new officers join as well.

Several courier messages (emails) had gone out to members over the past few years mentioning news about Club Tournaments and also new game additions. Our very own Bill Peters did outstanding work on the final three Napoleonic games he's designed for John Tiller Software (JTS). These include Campaign Marengo, Republican Bayonets on the Rhine (RBR) and Campaign Eylau-Friedland. Prussian forces are strongly present in both RBR and Eylau-Friedland. Beyond the historical actions, Bill naturally included some great alternate & bonus battles to each of the games. He also worked with quite a few NWC members in many aspects of the development, from play testing to historical consultation etc. He also included many additional bonus materials & documents related to multiple aspects of the game & design.

Also the other week John Tiller Software (JTS) announced the release of Wellington's Peninsular War. The game covers all the major actions left out of Bonaparte's Peninsular War and quite a few minor ones as well. Over 180 scenarios to include the battles of Salamanca, Vitoria, Coruna, Orthez and many more. Three campaigns are also included covering 1809, 1812 & 1813. The scenario design work was done by the NWC's own Rich White with a number of other members helping playtest!

In terms of Club Tournaments, several have occured including the Marengo Tournament (2016) and also the famed Master of Europe (MOE) Tournament which has been occuring on a routine basis for the last two years. The LGA CiC John Corbin has been the Club's Tournament Coordinator for several years now and he's been overseeing the MOE Tournaments. Hopefully more tournaments will come along and some of you all are able to participate!

The Club itself has had some technical upgrades and issues come up over the last few years that needed to be resolved. This fourm post highlighted this fact and notes that all of the major issues are finally resolved. The Club Staff will be able to direct their time back towards the normal running of the Club!

Also, HPS Simulations has put out a new Napoleonic game as well. Paul Bruffell created a brigade level game called Marching Eagles: Waterloo. At this time the Club hasn't added it in yet, since it is so new and we'll need to find some time to look it over. With JTS' current Napoleonic series winding down, the Club will need to continue to find additional games to add to the great set of games we already play. We're always open to suggestions from the membership as well!

As we get closer to the final game to be released by JTS the Generalstaff and the Club Staff look forward to the possibility of the game engine and files becoming unlocked. This would allow for those who make Mods to be able to continue all of the great things that the JTS' Napoleonic series has come to offer us! This will no doubt bring a wave of fresh ideas & more gaming opportunities for all of us in the Club! As always I am very happy to have all of you as members & hope that when the chance comes, we'll see you on the field of battle!
