Bulletins de l'Armée du Nord

I. General Report

Le Sambre-et-Meuse

It is my singular pleasure to announce that Col. Stuart Wilson has accepted appointment as Chef d'Etat-Major for l'Armée du Nord in addition to his continuing duties as Foreign Minister for the NWC.

I would also like to draw everyone's attention to the newly revamped Quartier Général of the Ier Corps at www.geocities.com/swalencz/1corps_html/index.html. The construction of this new edifice was carried out under the expert ministrations of Lt. Slawomir Walenczykowski.

Carabinier 1801

Overall l'Armée du Nord is in excellent shape. Although some veteran officers have been compelled to enter inactive status due to domestic concerns, their places have been filled with a steady flow of new recruits. As noted below, the army's overall active strength has reached 100 officers once again. More importantly, the steady stream of "End Game Reports" crossing my desk on a daily basis attests to the high level of participation by all ranks. In this report, Les Enfants Terribles of the IIIeme Corps deserve pride of place as two of their members, LtC. Morgan and LtC. Ghislain Krygier, join the august ranks of La Garde Impériale while two others, GdBg. Martin and GdBg. Aymonier-Ameline, rise even higher. However, each of l'Armée du Nord's corps is amply represented in that august company, with the promise of many more to come.

In recognition of his continuing service to the Grande Armée and France, as well as his proven record on the field of battle, GdBg Aymonier-Ameline has been granted the honour of commanding the 1er Régiment de Grenadiers à Cheval de la Vieille Garde.
