Battle of Klyastitsy, July 1812 VP: - 1320
French OP: 100 - "Les Bous" captured by the Brunswick Guards
Both sides chose to attack in the first hour of the battle resulting in heavy losses to the French cavalry on both flanks being outnumbered by Allied cavalry. All French infantry/cavalry activity in the middle was stopped, then surrounded or beaten back with the help of most of the Allied cannons, Guard infantry and 1 Guard Cav Brigade. The 2nd Guard Cav Brigade performed a deadly counter charge against French Cav reinforcement. During French counter attack on their right flank D'Elron is first surrounded, then captured by the Highlanders after which Ney chose to retreat...

Also remarkable is the comment written by his opponent in the end game form:

Order of St. George

"Amazing! Podporuchik Chimara charges through his own skirmish screen on the extreme left flank of the great redoubt with Russian Life Guard Ulans(turn 7) and overruns my 6 Batteries! gggrrrr..I manage to capture 3 out of 4 objective hexes in Raevski redoubt but could not hold with Chimara's counter attack with his Guard infantry. Turn 9 Kreutz cavalry arrives the battle is almost over for my French units, and he has run out of ammo rounds for his artillery and still fighting on..hehhehhehe amazing stuff to see. Turn 11 I concede the battle...yet another Russian major victory...it was close battle though...A cracker jack player!"

Awarded the General Service Medal for his first victory against the enemy.
Awarded the Order of St. George for his achieving 5 victories commanding the Russian Army.
I'd like to remark the most successful return of Shtabs-Kapitan Chimara to active service. Since his return he has achieved 4 major victories and 3 minor victories all by himself. It seems as if he has embarked on a personal mission to defeat the French in all the small NIR scenarios.

3. Podpolkovnik Andy Lane
Podpolkovnik Andy Lane sends a report of a terrible struggle in the fields near Borodino. Even if it ended in defeat for the Tsar's armies, it is remarkable for the tenacity of the Russian troops and commander during such a terrible and long struggle, for the entier 48 turns of the scenario:
I would like to report a defeat at the hands of GdB Zbyszek Pietras, Comte de Bourges. He obtained a major victory during the 47th period and I was unable to pull points back because of the lack of troops. The battle was NIR 12: Barclay contre Davout. At the end of 48 periods the casualties were:

I started well with the Guard attacking Davout's Corps and the Cavalry Reserve and destroying them. Then instead holding on to my gains I carried on attacking and was caught by a counter attack when over stretched, not once but twice.
