If a unit is trapped/surrounded along the edge of the map, and they have their rear to the map edge so that opposing units cannot access all three rear hexes, and they are losers of a melee, are they:

a) eliminated and points are scored as in a normal elimination melee, or

b) removed from the map and no points are allocated?

Not sure if this is a pop-quiz or a question :)

But the answer is A.

Units eliminated on the edge of the map are wiped out and captured with all their points being given to their opponents.
