My name is Keith Crawford. I am relatively new to online gaming, having only played a handful of WDS Gettysburg scenarios. Back in the day I played several AH board games including Squad Leader but otherwise was focused on work and family. I still occasionally lose a weekend to Civilization and a rare online game with my brother, Kevin, who is an ACWGC member.

I am recently retired. For most of my work life I was a Program Manager on IT and technology projects/programs. I read in another introduction one of the respondents disparaging the blue uniforms as “unattractive to the ladies”. I do beg to differ as I’ve been told it highlights my baby blue eyes. Happily I am spoken for anyway.

My wife and I live in VA about 35 minutes west of DC. I have had the opportunity and privilege to walk Gettysburg, Manassas and other local battlefields.

I stumbled across “Blake's Multiplayer Games” under After-Action Report, off the ACWGC main page. Playing double-blind with casualty limits sounds interesting. I had the pleasure of playing with Major General Mike Letus, as my Training Officer - thanks again Mike. My casualty loss was close to 50% which doesn’t seem very realistic. It’s easy to heartlessly throw troops at an entrenched opponent when it’s a game. Limiting casualty losses would make me more cautious.

Looking forward to meeting and playing with many of you.

Welcome to the club young man. The blue uniform may match your baby blue eyes, but they generally attract large amounts of lead and edged weapons. There is also another phenomenon that has a scientific basis, that putting on blue uniform makes the wearer only drink lite beer or milk - shocking I know. If ya all get a hankering for full strength beer or fire water, then put on your States Rights tee shirt and see the CSA recruiter

Keith,

Glad to have you with us and that your brother Kevin recruited you! Extra drinks for him....

Hoping you enjoy your time learning more about the games, finding great opponents and having fun! You already started off right under the tutelage of Major General Letus!
