Fellow Officers:
As we rest secure in our Camps, two of ACWGC finest field commanders battle for the El Degüello Championship. Fighting a mirror match at Cedar Mountain in HPS Antietam, Brigadier General Doug Shaw and Colonel Klaus Kuhlmann arrived at the Finals after hard campaigns to top a very talented field.

General Shaw scored 15,436 VPs on his way to finals. He faced Generals Hulinsky, Beacco, Gandt, Weir and Kuhlman, inflicting a total of 23,706 KIAs on enemy infantry. General Shaw made his biggest impression in battles 24 & 40 where he scored over 16,000 enemy KIAs while giving up less than 7,000 KIAs himself. To Doug’s great credit, both of these victories were scored in the North Woods, one in command of US forces and one in command of the CSA. Well done, Sir!
Col. Klaus Kuhlmann, 2/1/I, AoG, CSA
Colonel Kuhlmann came to finals after a very close run campaign that yielded him 9,384 VPs at the end of the semi-finals. Col. Kuhlmann fought Generals Jones, Thompson, Brennan and Tisdale, killing over 19,000 of their men in 6 battles. Col. Kuhlmann’s greatest success to date was as the US commander in the North Woods where he inflicted 7,594 KIAs on his enemy in a just a few turns of intense fighting. Klaus is a credit to his uniform and the Club.
Updates may be viewed in 4D at Miss Clarissa’s by Officers possessed of the prerequisite sensory perspicacity. The results are too close to call as the battles reach mid afternoon.
