Just ordered 1776. Have been wanting to get involved with these games. So tell me which side should I join! What is it like to play these games as a colonial or as a Brit?

Game play is similar for both armies. The British tend to close and melee and the Colonials tend to stand off and shoot, especially with their longer range rifles. You can sign up and allow placement to whatever army is smallest, at that time, by just selecting "either" on the join form.

However, it seems more difficult for us to find Colonial opponents than the other way round. Maybe you could consider joining the Rebel side?

Yes, I would suggest joining the Colonial side as you will find more active opponents that way. This does not prevent you from Playting the British in any game. Unlike the other clubs we don't pealize you from switiching sides in a game. The only penalties arrise when you play someone from your own side, then no victory points are awarded.

You're gonna like whichever side you choose.

I know I like all those men in red over on the other side. Gentlemen all 'cept after a whomping of course <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. Then they tend to get as red as their coats. <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

Us 'mericans could use another active player so that our British men can get their regular ration of whippings.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> They have been missing that here lately. <img src=icon_smile_shy.gif border=0 align=middle>
