Right then! I can now understand the colonials' confusion regarding promotions in His Majesty's Army. The poor sods delude themselves into thinking that Mater and Pater back home just jolly well pull the purse strings and out pops a commission or promotion. <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle> Or that dear Uncle Farnsworth, a lowly quartermaster in some God forsaken colony, jots a note to Lord Cornwallis and poof....instant promotion.<img src=icon_smile_shy.gif border=0 align=middle>

Nay, I say that the following promotions were, to use Lt. McDonald's rapier like phrase, "earned all too fast on the backs of you poor colonials." <img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle> Indeed, thrice within a fortnight I've had the pleasure of listing advancements in rank by gentlemen and officers of the King.

Three new Lieutenants ... the army must be growing quite fast when we need so many new officers! Congrats to all those Gentlemen. May they continue to teach the Colonials manners, and the advantages of a well-organized government.
