I must be losing my touch, I insult the lobsterbacks and they don't rise to the bait
I insult the Hessians and they don't bother.

Either that, or they think those were meant as compliments

OK What do you call ...

... a traitor biting the hand that feeds him? - A Yankee Rebel.
... an utter fool with a suicidal inclination? - An Indian fighting for the Rebels.
... a mercenary who despises the rabble he is fighting alongside with? - A Frenchman.
... a wise man? - A Tory.

...a colonial named Gary McClellan who was foolish enough to insult the King's Men?.

A colonial who will be crushed me on the battlefield!

Cpl. McClellan, you may prevail on that little hill of yours in our terribly lopsided fight, but whatever field you pick, I fear Gen. Coffey will just put an end to your short career.

Natta, Sands, Walter now Coffey

It seems that the high ranking lobsters seem to have this desire to pummel my boys into the mud... Oh well, such is life.

If you are serious Gen Coffey, please send a courier, I have the pup tent behind Maj Amos' caravan. I prefer 1812, as I have no games of that going atm.

Tut-tut - We'll have none of this British 'slap on the battlefield' (what what) go-ings on in here.. this is (was?) a very reputable tavern... apparently...ahem

Now if any British Officer fancies himself against the might of the Colonial/US CinC.. I'm open to a couple of offers over the Winter months - (if any of you can prise yourselves out of those nice warm barracks/lodgings you have 'appropriated' that is!)

PS - What do you call a landless Tory?
- A Canadian

And I believe the French are at WAR with Britain (so are therefore not mercenaries), however about 40% of your army is... hmmm

CCC Rank = Major(bvt Gen)

What do you call ... ? An American? What exactly IS an American? A NATIVE American may well be "a BRAVE man", yet this would hardly describe a scurvy-ravaged (lime-juice detesting) expatriated Brit transported to the colonies for debt, religious bigotry or some other equally heinous offence, who is determined (no doubt for the sake of gross personal profit)to deprive the true native Americans of their lands in the name of "Christ" and "Civilisation". A hypocrite? A scoundrel? A tax-evader? A flea-infested Rebel? A tea-guzzling religious fanatic? Well, what on earth should you call him ...?

Ah, Richard

I do believe that is throwing rocks when you live in a glass house.

You call the Colonials religious fanatics, when many of them came over because they did not have the freedom to worship as they would in your beloved nation. One might speak with Lord Baltimore and Penn and ask why they founded colonies perchance.

And you speak of the Colonials who came to this continent to exploit the lands, when we know that you opened up the land for that very reason. We are not ignorant of the meaning of mercantilism, and why you tried to forbid our trade with any nation other than yours. You wished to enrich yourself through us, so your brush is wide enough to paint yourself as well.
