Al Mazin recently asked a question about tourney's that the CCC have organized over the last 5-10 years. Well, let's use this thread to post our collective comments on any and all tourneys that we participated in. Which ones stand out in your mind? Comments, questions, and ideas about tourneys are also very welcome here!

I will start off by remembering that well structured tourney that was entitled, "The Indian Uprising of ????". This was a great battlefield that featured amphibious units that cross a bay and land onshore where many colonist plantations are under a wide and devastating attack of many tribes working to form an integrated nation. The scoring was interesting and detailed. The strategy development and execution was very good. Map terrain and size were excellent. Wish we could hold this one again.

How many of you tried the custom scenario called "Expect Bloody Work" (EBW) by Michael Osborn and based on 1776? It features "vedettes" (single individuals on horseback that act as spies and scouts), a massive battlefield that is the largest that we have seen, and two well-balanced and terrifyingly powerful armies that both have a lot of cannon batteries and supply wagons.

This is a real winner of a tourney battling environment we think... especially if you like to create and execute strategy in a multi-player gaming environment. But, expect bloody work!

Yes, that is correct. The Indian Uprising was based on FIW.

My favorite of all time was 1812 AAA Tourney - Spring of 2006 - administered by Bob Breen
