For 1812? It is 1.08. My CD drive died in the middle of Burlington against Dirk Gross, so I took a chance and used the new patch. Everything worked just fine even though we started with the old version. So far no issues.

I have gone through one complete game with v1.08 and started another with no issues. (As long as both players are on the same version.)

In our case, (Dirk and myself,) I switched to 1.08 between turns after both of us having begun the game in 1.07. The settings changed to the default, but not the options we had set up. Dirk later changed to 1.08. So far, nothing but good.
