I am pleased to announce, on behalf of the Continental Congress, the promotion of one of the this young nation's finest officers:

Rich Hamiliton to Lt. Colonel. A round of applause and three cheers for Rich. Of course he'll be buying for the next few hours!

I also would like to welcome to the 1812 Regulars a veteran of the recent struggles inthe Baltic states. Private Marka Miczkevich (aka Maxim Maroz) is a former officer of the 7th Regiment of the Garodnesky Battalion of the Lithuanian Army.

He will be commanding the 1st US Rifles. He is looking forward to bringing our Canadian brothers and their cooler climes into the American fold!
