Colonial Campaigns Club (CCC)

Since cavalry are normally worth twice as much as infantry and guns are worth 20pts each, does this make them too valuable compared to infantry? Might it be better to reduce the value of cavalry to 15pts where infantry are worth 10pts and perhaps also reduce guns to 10pts each? These values I'm suggesting are just a conjecture, but what sort of values would be more realistic? Would an opinion poll for readjusting the values be useful?

Another (related) issue is whether unit quality and weaponry should be significant factors in determining point value. Surely a guardsman would be worth quite a lot more than an untrained militiaman? Unfortunately, the game engine doesn't cater for this. However, since the OOB editor does have a cost modifier depending on troop quality and weaponry, perhaps this could be carried over into the actual game engine for victory point calculation?
