A challenge has been issued on the part of Lt. Michael Davies and his Second Pennsylvania Battalion on behalf of his mop of a mutt <font color="blue">"Mad Anthony"</font id="blue">, to myself, my 1st Regiment of Foot Guards, and our loyal and intrepid mascot <font color="red">"Bartholemew"</font id="red">. Arrangements will be made to begin this <b>Contest of Canines</b> on July 4th, and in the best tradition of Don King might be entitled any or all of the following:

Duel of the Doggies
Mongrel vs. Majesty
Conflict in the Kennel
Bite Fight
Pugnacious Pooches
Paws and Jaws
Which Hound Goes to the Pound?
Mange at Long Range

Triple rations of champaign and caviar are enroute to fortify Bartholemew for his strenuous training program in response to this upcoming match. I'm sure that "Mutt Anthony" will receive his usual meager rations of putrid horse flesh and stagnant creek water for his preparations, so it should be a jolly good bash what what?
