Colonial Campaigns Club (CCC)

Quick question.......I'm about to wrap up a Game with Ensign Ricardo Sánchez Bonachía of the 16th Light Dragoons - Left Wing British.
We are playing: 034: Louisbourg_a.scn, 36 Turns

Now with all the Cannons i have with Battery Island.....i found it EXTeremly Difficult to sink any of his ships (Might i add he had ALOT)
Was it that hard to sink "Ships of the Line" with Shore Batteries?
I thought i would have a slight advantage....[V]
Anyway....any input would help this poor British Minor Vic.....victim...
